Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is a spectacular and magical place. We feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to be able to raise our family somewhere so dear to our hearts.
Morgan fondly remembers traveling from Minnesota to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula every summer to stay at his grandparent’s camp, Kesa Pesa (Summer Nest). It’s during these summertime adventures that the Keweenaw captured his heart.
Danielle grew up in the country and has always felt most at home in nature, it has been her life long dream to have a place on the lake. When Morgan introduced Danielle to Big Traverse Bay for the first time, she was hooked. The day Morgan proposed, we both knew instantly Big Traverse Bay was where we would tie the knot, and dreamt of eventually retiring.
We spent our honeymoon in Norway, where we fell in love with their design style. We started dreaming right then and there about our future endeavors to create a space that emanated hyyge.
Up with the Sun was purchased in the fall of 2020. It was truly a dream come true! Planning and collaborating with friends and local businesses has been so much fun. It has been brilliant watching everyone use their talents to make Up with the Sun everything we aspired it to be!
